About Acquamare
Acquamare is a green quartzite from Brazil, sometimes listed as Aqua Mare or Verde Quartzite. Its base color sits somewhere between Tiffany green and aqua, with cloudy patterns and veining in white, black, or earthy brown running through the slab. It scores 6–7 on the Mohs scale, which means it handles heat, scratches, and acidic spills well — more so than marble, though it shares that same translucent quality. That crystalline structure picks up light in a way that gives the surface real depth, almost like looking into shallow tropical water. It works well for kitchen countertops and backlit feature walls in high-traffic spaces.
