About Teakwood

Teakwood, also known as Palomino, is a breathtaking exotic quartzite quarried in Brazil. This natural stone is celebrated for its remarkable resemblance to real timber, featuring a warm palette of golden-yellow, tan, and rich brown. Its unique geological formation creates linear and wavy grain patterns that mimic the organic rings and textures found in fine wood.

As a true quartzite, it offers immense durability and a Mohs hardness of 7, making it far superior to the wood it emulates in resistance to heat, scratches, and staining. Interestingly, while its appearance suggests a soft, organic material, it is a dense metamorphic rock formed from pressurized sandstone. This fusion of rustic aesthetic and "rock-solid" resilience makes it a premier choice for statement waterfall islands, sophisticated flooring, and luxury wall cladding.
