Volakas marble, often called the Carrara of Greece, is a prestigious dolomitic stone quarried from the Falakro Mountains in Drama. While traditionally celebrated for its luminous white background, the Blue or Onyx variety features striking dark blue and deep grey curving patterns that evoke a sense of modern fashion. This fine-grained marble is prized for its versatility in high-end interiors, from book-matched accent walls to custom vanities. Interestingly, Volakas is one of the few marbles globally that is partially extracted through sophisticated underground tunnel excavation, ensuring a consistent supply of its most ethereal and high-grade layers.
