Cloudy White/Viscont White
Cloudy White, widely known as Viscont White, is a stunning granite quarried from the bedrock of Southern India. This natural stone is celebrated for its dramatic, marble-like movement, featuring sweeping waves of white, grey, and deep black. Unlike many speckled granites, its fluid veining mimics the look of high-end Calacatta marble while offering the superior durability and heat resistance of a dense igneous rock. Because of its mineral composition, it is exceptionally hard, measuring a 7 on the Mohs scale. Interestingly, while it is marketed as granite, geologists often classify this specific stone as a gneiss due to its unique banded metamorphic structure.
