About Lemurian Blue
Lemurian Blue is a breathtaking granite, primarily quarried in the Ihosy region of Madagascar. This high-luxury stone is defined by its deep indigo and midnight-black base, dramatically illuminated by iridescent labradorite crystals. These inclusions create a "labradorescence" effect, flashing vibrant shades of peacock blue, emerald green, and gold as light hits the surface. Geologically an anorthosite, its dense crystalline structure offers exceptional durability for statement islands and feature walls. Interestingly, its name is inspired by the mythical lost continent of Lemuria, and the most vibrant reflective clusters are often referred to by stone artisans as the eyes of the slab.
