To break it down in a very simple way, high-end homes and designers most often select marble for their kitchen designs, while your everyday homeowner looking for a more affordable option will often select quartz or quartzite. Katie selected quartzite for a few reasons. First, it’s a good middle-of-the-road option when it comes to the price considering it’s less than marble but more than quartz. Next, she wanted the quality of a natural stone that was still durable. Last, the warmth of the Taj Mahal and the texture of the leathered finish.
