Absolute Black Premium is a natural stone quarried in Southern India, prized for its deep, uniform jet-black color and fine-grained texture. Geologically, it's actually a dolerite, not a granite—though it's almost always sold as one. That distinction matters. Dolerite is denser, with a near-zero water absorption rate. It holds up well against stains, heat, and scratches, which is why it works so well on kitchen countertops and exterior cladding. There's no visible veining, just a clean, dark surface. The intense black color comes from tiny magnetite needles packed throughout the mineral structure.
