Absolute Black granite comes mostly from quarries in Southern India. It's prized for its deep, uniform jet-black color and a fine-grained texture that stays consistent slab to slab. This is one of the hardest and densest granites on the market — highly resistant to heat, scratches, and moisture. That makes it a go-to for kitchen countertops and high-traffic flooring. What gives it that "absolute" black? A rare chemical purity, with very little quartz in the mix. Outside residential use, it's widely chosen for monuments and high-end architectural projects. A polished slab can hold its mirror-like finish for decades with minimal upkeep.
