About Angola Black Lino
Angola Black Lino — sometimes labeled Nero Angola or Black Angola — is a granite pulled from the Lubango region of Angola. Its color runs from deep charcoal to near-black, with a tight crystalline grain that throws off a low shimmer under direct light. Geologically, it's an anorthosite dating to the Precambrian era. That makes it extremely hard and resistant to both heat and scratching, which is why it works well for high-traffic countertops and flooring.
The subtle flicker across the surface? That comes from labradorite and feldspar crystals embedded in the stone. It gives the material a faint metallic quality you won't find in most standard black granites.
