Azul Macaubas is a world-renowned quartzite quarried in the Bahia region of Brazil, celebrated for its striking spectrum of celestial blue to deep azure tones. Unlike many blue stones that are actually sodalite or marble, this is a true metamorphic quartzite, offering exceptional hardness and resistance to acids, making it ideal for high-use surfaces like kitchen countertops. Its signature coloration is derived from the presence of dumortierite, a rare mineral that creates its distinct, linear veining.
