About Breccia De Vendome

Breccia De Vendome is a prestigious multicolor marble primarily quarried in the Pyrenees region of France. This extraordinary stone is a true geological mosaic, characterized by large, fractured clasts that create a dramatic "harlequin" effect. Its vibrant palette features a sophisticated collision of deep burgundy, forest green, golden ochre, and charcoal black, often accented by translucent cream quartz. Historically favored by French royalty, it is famously featured throughout the Palace of Versailles, earning it the alternate name Breche de Versailles. Because the original quarries no longer yield this material, each slab is considered a rare, non-renewable treasure for high-end interior design.
