About Calacatta Gold Borghini

Calacatta Gold Borghini is an Italian marble pulled from the Ruggetta quarry in the Apuan Alps of Carrara. It has a bright white base crossed by thick grey veins with gold and honey-colored tones running through them. The stone has been tied to wealth and status since Roman times. Michelangelo himself specified it in a 1517 contract, noting its purity. Its crystalline makeup takes a high-gloss polish well, which is why designers still favor it for book-matched feature walls, countertops, and flooring in high-end residential and commercial projects around the world.
