About Calacatta Vagli Classico

Calacatta Vagli Classico, also known as Arabescato Vagli, is a prestigious brecciated marble quarried in the Vagli di Sotto region of the Apuan Alps in Tuscany, Italy. Distinguished by its luminous milky-white background, it features a sophisticated network of bold, grey-to-gold ovulated veining that creates a dramatic, painterly aesthetic. This versatile stone is prized for its "arabesque" patterns, offering a warmer alternative to cooler-toned Calacatta varieties. Interestingly, the Vagli reservoir nearby actually submerged a 13th-century village; when the lake is occasionally drained, the historic stone structures of Fabbriche di Careggine emerge, mirroring the timeless endurance of the region’s famous marble.
