About Copacabana

Copacabana is a visually arresting black quartzite from Brazil, also known as Black Horse. It is defined by a profound, midnight-black background dramatically interrupted by sweeping, fluid waves of bone-white and misty gray. This high-contrast movement creates a "directed fluidity" reminiscent of a flowing stream. Formed from the metamorphic fusion of schist and pegmatite, it offers the artistic drama of marble with the superior hardness and acid resistance of quartzite. Its name is a tribute to the iconic wavy patterns of the Copacabana beach boardwalk in Rio de Janeiro, making it a premier choice for sophisticated, high-impact interior statements.
