About Giotto

Giotto, also known as Macaubas Giotto or Calacatta Giotto, is an elite white quartzite primarily quarried in the Bahia region of Brazil. This natural stone is celebrated for its luminous, snowy white to soft grey background, elegantly traversed by delicate, thin silver and charcoal veining. Often compared to high-end Italian Calacatta marble for its refined aesthetic, Giotto offers superior durability and resistance to scratching and etching. As a metamorphic rock formed from quartz sand under intense geological pressure, it possesses a crystalline strength that makes it ideal for high-traffic applications. Interestingly, despite its delicate appearance, it reaches a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale.
