About Palissandro Ivory

Palissandro Ivory is a rare and visually arresting marble extracted from the legendary Crevoladossola quarry in Piedmont, Italy, the sole source of Palissandro minerals in the world. This specific variety features a striking ivory background dramatically interrupted by bold, swirling veins of deep black and midnight blue. Its unique mineralogical composition, including dolomite and phlogopite, grants the stone a distinctive pearlescent shimmer, often described as a "shower of diamonds" when polished. Renowned for its durability and polychromatic beauty, this marble has been utilized since the 11th century, notably forming the massive monolithic columns of the Arch of Peace in Milan.
