About Patagonia

Patagonia is an extraordinary natural stone from Brazil, often classified as a granite or more accurately a pegmatite due to its unique formation. It features a dramatic, high-contrast composition of creamy feldspar, smoky gray accents, and large, translucent sections of white quartz. This rare material is celebrated for its exceptional durability and its ability to be backlit, which allows the crystalline quartz zones to glow with a brilliant, ethereal light.

Interestingly, Patagonia is technically a volcanic fusion of minerals like quartz, feldspar, and mica that crystallized at different rates. Because it contains significant amounts of natural quartz, it is frequently marketed as a quartzite, offering a level of hardness and visual depth that makes every slab a singular work of geological art.
