About Polaris

Polaris is a premier white dolomitic marble primarily quarried in the Prilep region of North Macedonia and parts of Northern Greece. Known for its luminous, deep white background and delicate, diagonal gray veining, it offers a minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic that rivals classic Italian varieties. Geologically, its high dolomite content provides superior acid resistance and a distinctive crystalline shimmer compared to standard calcitic marbles. Its remarkable density and low water absorption make it a durable choice for high-traffic flooring, luxury countertops, and intricate carvings. Interestingly, the stone is named after the North Star, reflecting its brilliant purity that has guided designers toward timeless elegance for decades.
