About Statuarietto
Statuarietto presents a white background with light gray veins that vary in intensity, creating a balanced visual pattern. The polished surface is smooth and glossy. Quarried in the Provincia di Massa Carrara, Toscana, Italy, this marble comes from a region long associated with fine stone. Its composition consists mainly of calcite, along with dolomite and quartz. The material is durable for everyday use, though its relative softness means it is often reserved for interior applications such as countertops, flooring, wall cladding, and fireplace surrounds. Because of its neutral tones and distinct veining, it works well in both classic and modern settings. Historically, Statuarietto marble was used for sculptures, which is the origin of its alternative name Statuary Marble.
