About Apolo
Apolo is a sophisticated natural quartzite quarried from the rich geological formations of Brazil. It is defined by a luminous white to ivory background, elegantly traversed by soft gray and subtle, sweeping veins that provide a classic, marble-like aesthetic. Unlike the marble it resembles, Apolo is a metamorphic rock formed under intense heat and pressure, resulting in a surface that ranks approximately 7 on the Mohs scale. This exceptional hardness makes it highly resistant to scratching and acid etching. An interesting characteristic of true quartzites like Apolo is that they are so densely cemented that when fractured, the break occurs through the quartz grains rather than around them, a testament to its incredible structural integrity.
