About Black Forest
Black Forest is a dramatic and sophisticated granite primarily quarried in the Andhra Pradesh region of southern India. It features a deep obsidian background characterized by a high-contrast network of sweeping white and smoky gray veins that mimic the look of a dark, snow-dusted woodland. This igneous stone is exceptionally durable, boasting a 6.5 to 7 rating on the Mohs scale, making it resistant to heat, scratches, and freezing temperatures. Interestingly, while its bold patterns often lead it to be compared to Silver Paradiso, its unique mineral composition allows it to maintain an intense, mirror-like gloss when polished.
