About Sodalite Crystal

Sodalite Crystal, also known as Sodalite Blue, is an extraordinary natural stone primarily quarried in the Bahia region of Brazil. Though often traded as a marble or granite due to its immense durability and dense structure, it is geologically a rare feldspathoid mineral. It is defined by an intense, royal blue to cobalt background, elegantly marbled with white calcite veins and occasional dark charcoal intrusions. Formed millions of years ago in silica-poor magmas, this stone is often considered a "gem" in the architectural world. Its vibrant, velvety appearance and resistance to weathering make it a premier choice for high-end interior flooring, luxury countertops, and sophisticated decorative inlays. Interestingly, while its deep blue hue often draws comparisons to lapis lazuli, Sodalite is distinguished by its unique orange fluorescence under ultraviolet light.
