Mont Blanc is an exceptional Brazilian quartzite known for its sophisticated, milky white background and delicate grey to charcoal veining. Often referred to as Calacatta Do Brasil, it offers the sought-after aesthetic of high-end Italian marble but with the superior durability and acid resistance of a true quartzite. This makes it an ideal choice for high-use surfaces like kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities. Reaching a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, it is remarkably resistant to scratching and etching. Interestingly, while its name is inspired by the snow-capped peak in the Alps, this stone is a tropical treasure primarily quarried in the Bahia region. Its low porosity and UV stability also make it a versatile option for both elegant indoor spaces and demanding outdoor applications.
