Saratoga Black is a high-density soapstone sourced from Brazil, valued for its deep charcoal-to-midnight hue. In its natural state, the stone features a soft matte gray finish; however, it is traditionally treated with mineral oil to enhance its depth and create a permanent, striking black surface. Because it is non-porous and chemically inert, it resists heat and acidic stains without needing chemical sealers.
